Parliament Building Mantralaya
Business-Center
126, Maharshi Karve Road, Churchgate, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400020, India
The administrative HQ of Maharashtra state government in Nariman Point, Mumbai was built in 1955. it was earlier called as Sachivalaya, or Secretariats, but to reinforce the fact that 'mantris' or ministers are more powerful than 'sachiv' or secretary, the name was changed. There was a devastating fire in 2012 destroying many important files. Entry needs long queue and permission. Nothing to see inside unless you have some official work there. Huge national flag atop the building is quite impressive.
