Chowmahalla Palace       Landmark

The construction of Chowmahalla Palace was in the main completed between 1857 to 1869 throughout the rule of fifth Nizam, Afzar-ud-Daulah, Asaf Jav V. However, its building is generally attributable to Nizam Salabat Jang in 1790. The Palace originally lined forty five acres that extended from the Laad Bazaar on the north to the Aspan Chowk Road on the south. Now, the entire remained space of the palace is near to twelve acres.

The palace was remodeled by the govt and was opened to the general public within the year of 2005. One will visit the palace throughout the week except on Fri and national holidays.
