Kalyani Hospital owes its origin in 1909, to the unselfish & charitable disposition of a Brahmin convert and altruist, the late Dewan Bahadur Narayanaiyar Subramaniyam, Barrister-at-law, and advocate of the state supreme court of Madras, World Health Organization served with distinction as body General and Official Trustee of Madras. He bequeathed the buildings to the Methodist Missionary Society of London to run a hospital for girls that was later confiscate by the Church of South Republic of India.
Opened by woman White, the Methodist Missionary on first March 1909, as atiny low hospital for girls and kids with twenty four beds and atiny low cluster of dedicated staffs, the hospital has currently grownup as a full fledged multispeciality hospital with 220 beds providing all major speciality services, line of work to the health wants of all strata of society.
