Haji Ali Dargah
The Haji Ali Dargah is a mosque and dargah located on an islet off the coast of Worli in the Southern part of Mumbai. Right on the busy JJ Road, opposite JJ hospital, I never imagined what this old building contain. Accompanied by a Jew friend from out-of-town, made me realise that this almost 150 year old building has fully functional beautiful synagogue. The interiors are simply artistic. The trust has been offering accommodation and meals to Jew visitors free, or with small nominal donation. Great place indeed.
